new hope to financially struggling made possible through abec funding

Givlife is excited to announce it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Australian Business Enterprise Centre to commence a two-year Financial Wellbeing Program in Queens Park. The program aims to equip the long-term, financially struggling with cash management skills to move away from dependency on emergency relief (Food and Fuel vouchers) and develop sustainable independence.

Through the generosity of The Australian Business Enterprise Centre in Ballajura, local people in Queens Park who struggle to support themselves financially, can take part in our program to learn skills for managing their lives without depending on others.

The funding is a ray of hope to our community. The grant monies will be used to provide food and petrol vouchers to attendees, during the 6 week program.

A pilot program for 10 participants is planned to kick-off in May to run for 5 weeks to end of June. This will be followed by a series of 6- week programs, commencing in late 2022 through to 2024.
