Tuesday 19th July Tonight was "Opening Night" for Soup Kitchen at our new home, 188 Treasure Road Queens Park. Despite the chilly weather it was a night of warmth and laughter and delicious food. Thank you Beananging Kwuurt Institute for your generosity in giving Givlife a home; thank you Bunnings Cannington for your generous donation of a new barbecue; thank you City of Canning for your support; thank you Givlife volunteer team and Bridge Inc volunteers for making it possible and the biggest thank you to our loyal guests who have followed us around the corner and down the road to join us in our new home.
A special thank you to Helen Skiadas, BKI Board Member, who braved the chilly weather to welcome us to to Beananging Kwuurt Institute with a scrumptious carrot cake.
Everyone is welcome to join our Tuesday Kitchen, so if you a looking for a coffee and someone to chat to, please stop by and say hello.
We always have freshly cooked burgers and sausages, with fresh bread rolls donated by Barretts Bread, Nedlands and freshly made hummus and red dip donated by Spirit of Little Things and Feed Catering.
